It's Time for Something New

It's been talked about. It's been written about. You've even thought about it to some extent. Your favorite magazine doesn't quite cut it. There is something about it that you don't like, that you would change if you could.

You have a few choices, but there are flaws in them all. Out of all the alternative sports magazines out there, there are a few that you actually buy. You love one for its sick pictures, one for it's writing, one for it's approach, one for it's design, but none hold the entire package. Your sports are covered by a few magazines each, but do any of them fit your wants and needs for your fix while away from your sports?

Why is that? The real question is, "What is the entire package?" What makes a magazine stand out to you?

Is it the writing? What types of writing?
Is it the pictures? What makes a good picture?
Is it the articles? The features or the fiction?
Is it the travel section, the reader response, or is it simply the pictures of scantily clad females?

Here is a chance to post your opinion and have it be heard.

Ryan I am so excited for you!!! This is SO cool. You are going to change the magazine world FOREVER!!! I am so excited to see this vision come to life. The blog looks great. I can't wait to see the future of Elevate Magazine!!! I think it would be cool (at least for me) to read about women in life-style sports... mountaineering, hiking, triathalons... etc. And not just any woman... but mom's. Just an idea. becs

This is a great idea Ryan! You know what I would like to see is more chicks(not the scantily clad kind!). Only the skiing magazines have an occasional article on some awesome girl who can ride too! I would love to see some quality pictures of girls doing awesome stunts! I know they're out there!

I vote for a scantily clad Bryan Myss. Now that's something you don't see everydady unless your name is Ron-Gi.

Hey Ry! I'm so excited for your new adventure...good times are ahead. As for what I'd love to see, I'm all about seeing more articles on women in extreme sports, too. But it'd be great to hear about cool places to "sport" all over the world. Like a print version of a Warren Miller film. I'd also love to hear about festivals, events, and shows in the Seattle area. Good luck..the blog is already awesome. So good in fact, I'll have to make up a new word for it. Like, scrumptaculous. peace...Kel
